Our Experience  

Attorney Lafferty is an accomplished and well-respected attorney in Western Pennsylvania.  Prior to establishing this law firm, she was an associate attorney at a prominent civil and corporate Pittsburgh based law firm with offices in Westmoreland and Beaver counties.  As an associate, she fought for her clients in various civil, domestic, and criminal matters.  She represented clients in complex divorce and civil litigation that involved business valuations, commercial and residential real estate appraisals, and retirement plan valuations.  In addition to this work experience, for several years, Attorney Lafferty was an associate at a boutique family law firm representing clients involved in complex divorce and custody litigation. 

Attorney Lafferty began her legal career by accepting a clerkship with a Pennsylvania  appellate court judge.  As an appellate law clerk, she assisted the Judge in drafting opinions, reviewing appellate briefs, and preparing  memoranda of law.  She conducted extensive legal research on issues addressing civil and criminal matters.  Her legal knowledge was sharpened by the variety of issues brought before the appellate court. 

Attorney Lafferty argues in court on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis.  She represents clients at civil and criminal trials, divorce hearings, custody and support hearings, and protection from abuse hearings .  If it is the client's wish to reach a quick settlement, Attorney Lafferty will negotiate an agreement  or act as a mediator for the parties to alleviate the need for costly litigation.  

Attorney Lafferty's legal experience expands beyond simply practicing law.  She has been a speaker for the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and has published articles on matters involving complex divorce litigation.

About Attorney Lafferty:

Attorney Lafferty founded this law firm to provide clients with quality and personal legal representation.  Her areas of practice include family law, wills and estates, criminal and civil matters. 

She saw a need in the legal community to provide clients with affordable competent representation where the clients form a professional relationship with their attorney, not the attorney's secretary or assistant.

Throughout her years of practice,  Attorney Lafferty has seen how poor representation can lead to a party losing custody of their children, paying more in child/spousal support, or even having to sell their business.   There are thousands of licensed attorneys in Western Pennsylvania, but very few have the broad legal experience with handling complex litigation that Attorney Lafferty will bring to your case.  She believes in zealous representation of each client and personal hands-on attention  to each case. 

Attorney Lafferty has served her community as an elected official in local government.  In her spare time, she participates  in 5k walk/run events throughout the Spring and Summer and enjoys traveling.
